This Wonderful Bag of Stuff
”[…]Moffat just gave a massive middle finger to Neil Gaiman and his contributions to the show.”

As a Whovian, there’s a precedent to Tumblr, when dealing with new episodes of Doctor Who, on the day it airs:

AVOID TUMBLR AT ALL COSTS! AT LEAST UNTIL YOU’VE SEEN THE EPISODE… TWICE!

I’ve been a Tumblr Whovian long enough to have learned my lesson: that people have no qualms about spoiling something, as long as they’re the first to know and post about it first; however, there’s another lesson that’s been taught, especially during the Moffat years of the series: that there’s a Dark Side to the Tumblr Whoniverse.

You know it when you see it - posts ragging on the “quality of the show”, or how “this Doctor is better than the other”, or just the blatant negativity that people who refer to themselves as “fans” prove that they are anything but.

That being said, after watching the series seven finale, “The Name of the Doctor”, and getting over my twenty-minute pacing around the apartment (with “OhmyGod, ohmyGod, ohmyGod” as the catchy chant throughout that time frame) I was extremely disappointed to read the quote placed in this post’s subject.

A work in progress…

(Don’t worry, I’ll get to 110%!)

Confession: I literally squealed when Mr. Clever said, "Allons-y!"

Clara met the Cyberman Emperor.

Mull that over a bit, fandom…
